Slow down and connect with the rewilded landscape at Birch Selsdon.

Learn how to make and forage your own seasonal plant dyes. Join our head grower and artist Hayley Caine on a seasonal foraging walk across the grounds of Birch, harvesting flowers from our market garden and finding treasures for our dye pot.

In this 2-hour workshop, we will explore and create local seasonal colours from shades of soft pink with pine cones, rusty oranges from alder cones and amethysts from berries. You’ll gain new knowledge to continue crafting at home and create a seasonal tote bag to take away with you.

This class is suitable for families if children are 12 years old and above, children under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

We suggest you wear comfortable clothing and footwear that is practical for getting creative and walking.

Please be on time and meet Hayley outside the Orangery. the class will only be able to wait 5 minutes for latecomers.
